The Anti-Aging Industry Has a Dark Side

There are some excellent companies in the anti-wrinkle eye cream industry. However, there are also companies that are less than reputable. I am talking about the companies that use any form of trickery or deception to get you to buy wrinkle creams. They will make false claims and even try to make the legitimate companies look bad.
These dishonest companies are after a piece of the action. Health and beauty products are in huge demand right now. Almost anything that promises to make you look or feel younger flies off of the store shelves faster than it can be restocked. These sham companies basically put anything into a jar, call it a wrinkle prevention cream and sell it. Moreover, they know all the while that there is no chance that it will supply any of the promised results. Sometimes their product works well for one specific condition; but commonly that is not good enough for them. They will lie by claiming that their product does all of the same things as a well-known and reputable product such as Dermajuv.
Let’s be realistic. When a celebrity does a commercial to promote a product, it is a paying job. They are basically saying that if you buy this item and use it, you will someday be beautiful and famous just like a celebrity. Can you step back for a moment and think about why companies use celebrities in the first place? Come on, it is easy. Those actors or singers were already good looking way before they even heard of that product. Unfortunately, we fall for this trick all too often. We justify buying something by telling ourselves that this little jar of cream will make me look like a movie star. Unless you were born looking like a celebrity, there is not any product in a jar that is going to make you look like a movie star. You may look like a younger version of yourself, but that’s it.
These companies also use a technique known as mystification. This is a fancy way of saying that these unscrupulous companies will use simple confusion techniques. They have redefined the term “anti-aging” to suit their desire to sell you something. Scientists say that anti-aging is reversing, slowing or stopping aging. However, physicians define anti-aging as prevention, early detection, and the reversal of diseases relating to age. On the other hand, the business world looks at anti-aging as something marketable, just a way to build up sales whether or not the product even works. Business minded people tend to define anti-aging as “feeling and looking younger.”
Don’t fall for unscrupulous marketing techniques. There seem to be no rules on how companies are allowed to market anti-aging products. Companies can claim virtually anything to get you to buy their anti-aging cream and then hold no responsibility if their claims fail.
Just because an anti-aging cream says that it is American made does not necessarily mean that a product really is American made. Be aware that many companies get their creams elsewhere and merely re-label them. One last thing to remember; companies stay in business by making money. If you do not do your homework and discover the good companies, you are contributing to keeping the fraudulent companies in business.
